This exquisite asparagus cradle / strainer with matching platter dates from the mid-twentieth century. It has a fan shaped silhouette glazed with vibrant purple, turquoise and brown. There is no maker's mark. Al lovely colorful piece of Majolica that will make a lovely addition to a collection of antique French ceramics. Note a crack on the side of the platter, it is in usable condition despite this.
